2020/21: Adriel Ba Loua

Credentials

In possibly the tightest MVP race in history, Adriel Ba Loua edged Jean-David Beauguel by an equivalent of quarter of a chance created. Beauguel was powered by an unrivalled 7,49 expected points added (from 12 goals), while Ba Loua — a 10-time TotW nominee — ended up contributing to 15 goals.

2021/22: Jindřich Staněk

Credentials

The title-winning Plzeň were greater than the sum of their parts, surprisingly short on huge contributors per advanced stats. But the Beauguel-Staněk clique was enough, with the latter very dependable, outright stealing 4 games and preventing 5.81 goals.

2022/23: Lukáš Kalvach

Credentials

Staněk was still very high up the list despite a botched spring, but it was Kalvach's consistency what won me over. He was actually better than in the title-winning season beneath the surface, rising to 94.6th overall percentile, serving as a right cheat code in gaining the penalty area. At 28, he was ripe.

2023/24: Lukáš Kalvach

Credentials

While the young Šulc-Hranáč duo was still emerging, yet extremely close nonetheless, Kalvach managed to defend the crown in a narrow battle, and if Plzeň's set-piece finishing was any good, he would've been a runaway leader, actually improving in a number of passing, crossing related metrics.

2024/25: Pavel Šulc

Credentials

Still entering the season with Plzeň, Pavel Šulc was both eligible and a no-brainer. With 32 direct or indirect goal contributions, he led the whole league by 8. His 14 important points means he directly lent a hand to 35% of all equalizers or go-ahead goals of his team. His 8 MotM honours from Sport led the league by 3. And so on, and so on...

2025/26 winter stocktake: FC Viktoria Plzeň

CzechFooty
For two years under Miroslav Koubek, Plzeň made for a surprise continental (Top 4) contender and a fun domestic pretender. Then, as 25/26 started to shape up like yet another campaign of high-octane victories and frustrating losses setting up a 15+ point gap on the title-winners, the club decided to…

2025/26 team preview: FC Viktoria Plzeň

CzechFooty
Whenever Viktoria Plzeň have climbed the table in recent past, it meant one thing and one thing only: a title. In 2011, they went from 5th straight to 1st — just like three years ago. In between, they had turned three more podium finishes (2012–13, 2014–15, 2017–18) into the ultimate…
